Redding Transformation was founded in 2004 by Jon Thompson who had a heart and a vision for city transformation. Jon inspired hundreds of influencers in Shasta County - from pastors to city officials - to dedicate themselves to the Biblical principles that bring light into dark places, and restore hope to those without hope.  Those impacted by Jon's message are still praying and believing God today to transform schools, businesses, agencies, churches and neighborhoods. In many ways this work has led to practical expressions of love throughout our community.

 

In 2014, Redding Transformation changed its name to ShastaThrive. The board and staff are committed to the same core values and paradigms. ShastaThrive programs continue in the same vision as Redding Transformation but are focused on engaging low-income families, high-crime neighborhoods, and at-risk youth. By mobilizing the body of Christ as mentors, friends and encouragers, we are breaking cycles of poverty, increasing hope, and changing futures.
